If you’ve ever heard of Monotonix then you know that just about anything could happen at tomorrow night’s show. The maniacal three-piece from Tel-Aviv, Isreal have built a reputation for raucous shows that turn into chaotic parties, which have notoriously resulted in them being banned from most of the venues in Tel Aviv. Between their gnarly garage-rock and their debauched antics, these guys certainly know how to draw a crowd.
If you witnessed their act at last year’s Fx3 Fest, you might not have heard much since their unconventional departure from the stage and into the crowd had disastrous effects on their sound. Regardless, you certainly remember lead singer Ami Shalev jumping into the crowd to surf around and growl into the mic along with guitarist Yonatan Gat, while Ran Shimoni hammered away on drums in the pit. Such behavior guarantees that Monotonix’s shows consistently deliver an unforgettable experience not to be missed. Don’t be surprised if Shalev steals your drink or disrobes...it’s all part of the show.
Local lads Shapes Have Fangs and The Strange Boys will be kicking things off. Doors open at 8pm, music begins at 9pm.
