If you’re looking for a way to simultaneously party and shed extra holiday pounds, Flying Turns have just the thing! Tonight the local, dance-inducing DJ troop brings their third edition of Cosmic Trigger to Loft 718 (above Silhouette). They’ll have beats bumping well into the night with six mix masters spinning underground disco that will keep boogie-oholics shaking things up on the dance floor.

The collective has been hard at work, carefully crafting their first official mix CD -- Space/Time Vol 001. Copies of which will be available at tonight’s event, free of charge. The mix offers, “a glimpse into the tracks that Cosmic Trigger danceophiles have grown to love, featuring artists such as disco connoisseur Lee Douglas, analog synth stalwart Morgan Geist's Storm Queen project, and German deep house champion Motor City Drum Ensemble.”

As a special bonus,Bodytronix has been invited to join the party. The live techno/electro duo [Eric Archer and Erich Ragsdale] were recently featured on the cover of the Austin Chronicle for their workshops on building electronic instruments. They combine homemade and vintage gear that squeals, squelches, clicks, and pops to coalesce together into a jacking groove that invokes early acid house.
