The 14th Annual Empty Bowl Project happens this Sunday. This fundraiser for the Capital Area Food Bank is a fun way to do good while eating lunch -- plus, you get a nifty bowl along with your meal! For $15, you pick out a bowl decorated by area potters or students, then fill it up with delicious soup provided by local chefs.

There will also be a silent auction featuring bowls signed by various celebrities such as Steve Martin, Sarah Vowell, Anthony Bourdain, David Sedaris and Adam West (among others). All the money raised by the Empty Bowl Project goes towards Kids Cafe, a program that serves almost 380,000 meals annually to hungry kids in Central Texas. Your fifteen dollars = 45 meals for those kids.

You're going to eat lunch anyway on Sunday; why not grab a bowl and some soup, listen to local bands, and benefit a great organization at the same time?
