If you’re like us, you’ve spent many an idle hour discussing who would win in a fight, a tiger or a gorilla? Robocop or the Terminator? Mario or Luigi? Prepare to put one of those timeless debates to rest once and for all, as Austin Comic Con presents a special screening of the soon-to-be classic Alien Vs. Ninja.

Saturday night, the Alamo Ritz will show director Seiji Chiba’s awesomely schlocky story of rival ninja gangs banding together to battle creatures from outer space. Boasting all the requisite clichés—badass guys dressed like Snake Eyes, lots of high-kick slow-mo action, a sexy (but dangerous) woman who doesn’t take too kindly to being patronized—this movie is as chock full of cheesy goodness as you can handle.

If you loved Predator but thought the effects were too realistic, were annoyed by the lack of violence in Aliens, and wish more movies had tough guys in Tron helmets, then this over-the-top action fest might be just what you need after an evening of wandering Sixth Street sampling the wares at the local taverns. But get tickets in advance, because after the insanity that is Austin Comic Con, chances are there will be plenty of people pumped for the most entertaining, gleefully lowbrow sci-fi karate splatterfest movie of the weekend.
