Texas Tribune Turns 1 Year Old
Tuesday, November 2
Arthouse (700 Congress Ave)
7pm-11:59pm $75 for TT members, $100 non-members

Tuesday's event will feature food from Frank, Moonshine, and Ranch 616, drinks from Tito's, Republic Tequila, and Jester King, and huge screens with real-time election results everywhere, and music from Jimmie Dale Gilmore and his band.
November 2 will mark a year to the day that the Tribune first launched live, and since then they've grown into one of the best online sources for smart reporting on Texas. They've just partnered with the New York Times to bring a little bit more of the Lone Star state to the paper's U.S. coverage.
CEO and Editor-in-Chief Evan Smith also gives great interviews: this year he's hosted Bill White, Karen Hughes, Attorney General Greg Abbott and many other Texas political luminaries. We've been covering their stellar breakfast talks at the Austin Club all year, and these are definitely worth the early wake-up call. If you're more of a late riser, though, the Trib is presenting two panels on the election results ("What Just Happened?") next Thursday at the Capitol beginning at 10 a.m.
