Why We Love It: Inventive cocktails plus a swank beer selection and a generous bar menu—all for half-price—equal a great happy hour at one of Austin's finest restaurants.

When a dish of fresh ceviche with buttery avocado comes to $5.25, crisp crab fritters weigh in at only $5.50 and a "Siberian Donkey" (a zippy drink made with Absolut Peppar vodka, ginger beer and lime) is $4, it's tough to find a reason not to hang out for a few hours to enjoy Parkside's tasty offerings. With such a great deal on your hands, you may as well spring for a dessert to round out your evening. We are big fans of the warm cinnamon and sugar doughnut holes.
