This month an ape-like entity will be taking over the Frank Erwin Center, and no, we're not talking about Curious George, though we very well could be. Instead, we're talking about the primate-centric hip-hop/rap collective Gorillaz, who will be stopping by in Austin to present their new, interactive, big ol' "Escape to Plastic Beach" tour show.
Plastic Beach is the new Gorillaz album, released this March, which featured guest spots from De La Soul, Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg, Yukimi Nagano, Mark E. Smith and many more. While not all of these statesmen/women of rock and rap could join Gorillaz on this tour, the "Escape From Plastic Beach" show has all sorts of interactive material as well as a full band. Take a look.
