Dana Falconberry at The Parish Saturday

The earthy, breathy voice of Dana Falconberry lingers in the air, mingling with two brilliant harmonic vocalists and the gentle finger-picking of an acoustic guitar. A dented soda pop can often acts as the only percussion accenting the lush sound of these talented voices. The sweet melancholy evidenced by the resulting mix is difficult to wipe from memory, and might even bring back a taste of your own memories in a refreshing, satisfying way.

Falconberry’s latest album Hallets, released in January, has found many fans in Austin and beyond. To match the beauty of the songs inside, the hand-made CD sleeve was carefully crafted by Dana herself. Video evidence is available and worth the watch/listen!

Telegraph Canyon of Fort Worth will complement Dana’s ethereal music on Saturday. Telegraph Canyon’s rambling Americana style has recently garnered comparisons to Fleet Foxes and Broken Social Scene. Archeology plays as well, all the way from Portland, Oregon.

Take a listen to the just released Dana Falconberry Daytrotter Sessions for a preview of Saturday's show at The Parish.
