Preview: Misprint's Jortacular Issue Release Saturday at Shangri-La

Misprint Magazine has become one of Austin’s most coveted publications, not because they constantly hail Austin as a fantastical land of musical wonders, culinary delights, forward-looking liberal thinking and beautifully fit locals. Instead, one of the reasons we look forward to the infrequent issues of this zine is that they call us (Austinites) on our B.S. They make us laugh at ourselves and encourage us to take things less seriously.

Aside from the print issues, which also make great bathroom reading throughout the year, the guys at Misprint have been known to throw many a fun event, such as the Beard & Mustache Competitions and Jortacular Issue Release parties. The latter of which we hope you will all come out to participate in this Saturday at Shangri-La. According to the poster, there will be kegs, BBQ, koozies and jorts (jean shorts for the unacquainted). So, if you don’t already have a pair, steal your roommate’s new Gap jeans, lop them off above the knee, adorn them with whatever flair you can find, and we’ll see you Saturday.
