Fun Fest Leaks Continue: Airwolf, Snapcase, Dirty Projectors, Cap'n Jazz Reunion

Fun Fun Fun Fest continues to tease us with a selection of intriguing leaks in advance of the November festival. Austin's little festival that could (not necessarily so little anymore) continues to impress: this week's leak includes news that Snapcase, Dirty Projectors, Yelle, The Gories and Cap'n Jazz will all be performing.

Now, we're huge fans of Snapcase. We may or may not have spent some time in the hardcore / straight edge scene in the '90s, and there's no doubt that this Buffalo-based act is one of the most influential bands that touched that entire community. And naturally we're thrilled about Dirty Projectors - the last time they were in town the show was sold-out and actually pretty hard to get in to. Dave Longstreth has created an impressive machine with this group, and the potential of hearing new material is downright thrilling. Yelle and The Gories are both solid additions to any festival, and we're happy to know they'll be with us in November.

All that being said, the thing we're most excited about this week is the news that Cap'n Jazz is reuniting and coming down to Austin. For those of us who grew up in the punk scene of the '90s, Tim Kinsella, Davey Von Bohlen & Co. were more than just influential. Not only did they inspire oodles of bands in that time period, they opened the doors for all kinds of loopy, esoteric and angular artists that are popular today. Yep, you can hear it in Longstreth's tunes, too. After years of spin-offs, solo projects and retrospectives, it's finally come time for the Chicago emo legends to hit the road and breath new life into the old songs. Follow the jump to see a video of the guys performing "Que Suerte" live back in the day.

Oh, and Airwolf.
