Highball Launches Karaoke iPhone App

If you've been to the Highball, you know that it's one of the swankiest (but most relaxed) places in town to bowl and have a stiff drink. If you've had the pleasure of roaming over to the right rear part of the venue, you've undoubtedly become aware of their karaoke setup as well. With seven individually themed rooms (Xanadu, Low Places, Rapper's Delight and more), the Highball makes getting wasted and singing your favorite songs an experience that comes dangerously close to classy. If you've been to Austinist's version of karaoke, you know that class doesn't have to have anything to do with it. Yet, we aspire to reach for the stars, sit on glossy couches, and indulge in our rock'n'roll fantasies with friends and private rooms. It's one of the most unique experiences in Austin, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg, either. Let's say you're sitting in the private themed room, trying to think of songs that fit your mood and chosen theme - where do you look? Well, don't bother making your phone remind you of all those embarrassing Safari tabs you had open the night before (last time we checked ours, the searches were for "Kevin Federline fat" and "Dragons f*cking cars, seriously), just use the new Highball karaoke iPhone app. Search for music by Artist, Title, or Group and bring your fantasy to life. It's that easy.
