Red Hot will feature food from Austin restaurants and caterers, signature cocktails, and an absolutely fabulous champagne bar. Be prepared for stellar performances by the cast of Zach Theatre's summer musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, the cast of the City Theatre's upcoming production of Into the Woods, Austin Babtist Women, The Psychic Cowboys with Croondaddy, the Austin Showgirls, and pop star Larissa Ness.
Several of the items up for bid in this year's silent auction are sure to whip the gays into a frenzy—among trips and treasures are chances to grab tickets to see Cyndi Lauper, Melissa Etheridge, Paula Poundstone, and what every gay wants most: the opportunity to have your life turned into an improv show at the Hideout Theater. Dining experiences up for bid include a custom-themed four-course dinner with wine pairings created by executive chef Sean Fulford at Flat Creek Vineyard and Winery in Marble Falls, and a chef's table three-course dinner for four created by executive chef Javier Ortiz at the Hyatt Resort Downtown.
Austin Lyric Opera's artistic director, Ken Patterson, will be facilitating the live auction, which features tickets to see Liza Minelli and a Jersey Boys package with tickets to see both the Broadway Tour at Bass Concert Hall and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons at the Long Center.
With all this up for grabs, Austin's summer party has certainly gotten hotter.
