Tonight At Frank: More Than Just A Dog [Yacht Rock Alert]

When Starlite (on 4th and Colorado) closed down, we were pretty disappointed and wondered if a new establishment at that spot could ever replace the restaurant’s epic Sunday brunch. Little did we know that we would have a new favorite at that same location in no time. Frank, armed with a succinct mantra of “hot dogs…cold beer,” has quickly become a choice destination for gourmet wieners and some truly novel drinks. What more could you ask for?

Well, seems like quality music is just as important as a delicious meal around these parts. The eatery has already had some experience in that realm. The ever-popular Tweedy continues to spin retro tunes galore during Frank’s impressive Sunday brunch. And recently, the folks at Knuckle Rumbler launched a Monday night series called HAHA (Hangovers & Heart Attacks) with $1 beers and mini-dogs from 9 - 11 p.m. and DJs Orión and Hype Headz furnishing the beats till 2 a.m.

It’s now time to usher in the age of live performances at Frank. The eatery has invited The Motts (spearheaded by Michael Kingcaid and featuring a whole slew of local musicians) to deliver two hours of Yacht Rock favorites every Tuesday in the month of July. The residency kicks off tonight at 9 p.m. and promises to be one heck of a soundtrack to your meal. Rumor has it that karaoke is also a part of the evening’s entertainment. When all is said and done, you could do a lot worse than a German Currywurst, a Summer Soda, and a classic Michael McDonald song on a Tuesday night.
