Vince Young Gets Punchy On Longhorn Hater
You can take Vince Young out of the Longhorns, but you can't take the Longhorns out of Vince Young. The best quarterback in UT history let his Texas pride get the best of him this weekend, punching a guy in a Dallas strip club after he flashed a "horns down" sign.
Police cited, but did not arrest, Young after he scuffled with an employee of Club Onyx in a cramped office area about 3:30 am Sunday. Surveillance video shows Creiton Kinchen, 45, exchanging words with Young before flashing an upside-down "Hook 'em Horns" hand sign. Clearly, the guy had it coming to him.
At that point, Young lunged at Kinchen, who suffered a cut lip in the fracas. Young faces up to a $500 fine on a Class C misdemeanor charge.
Young had arrived minutes earlier at Club Onyx - "the finest upscale, urban men's club in Dallas" - and moved into a private office to talk to club managers about "how he planned on spending his evening inside the club," Dallas police Lt. Craig Miller told the Dallas Morning News. The surveillance video does not include any audio, but police said Kinchen continued to make disparaging remarks about the University of Texas, until Vince let his fists do the talking.
