Renegade Craft Fair

Palmer Events Center (900 Barton Springs Rd)
Free, 11am-7pm
[info]
This weekend, the first ever Austin Renegade Craft Fair will be held at the Palmer Events Center. The renowned craft fair, which is recognized as one of the major players in the craft renaissance, started with events in Brooklyn and Chicago in 2003, and has since expanded to nationwide DIY dominance and even a brick-and-mortar store. Thousands flock to these events to see some of the best work from the indie craft world - crafty superstars from across the country will be showcased alongside some of Austin's finest.

Renegade is pulling out all the stops with craft workshops from Etsy, Austin Craft Mafia, Stitch Lab, the WonderCraft (who will park their shiny airstream trailer inside!), and Public School. There will also be performances from Austin's folk sweethearts Shotgun Party and the Minor Mishap Marching Band.

The event is free to attend and happening from 11-7 both Saturday and Sunday at the Palmer Events center. Check out the list of participating artists to see a sampling of some of the awesome talent that will be there.

Stay tuned to the Austinist as we will bring you interviews with a few selected Renegade artists throughout the week.
