Longhorns RB Vondrell McGee Arrested for DWI

Proving once again that nothing good happens after 2 am, Texas running back Vondrell McGee was charged with driving while intoxicated early Sunday morning.

McGee, 21, was stopped at 3:07 am near campus for driving with his headlights off in the 500 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard, according to the arrest report quoted by the Statesman.

According to the police report, McGee registered Breathalyzer readings of 0.125 and 0.126. The legal limit in Texas is 0.08.

McGee, who will be a senior next fall, was charged with a first offense DWI, a class B misdemeanor punishable by a maximum fine of $2,000 and/or a jail term of up to 180 days. In his career with the Longhorns, he has rushed for 973 yards and 14 touchdowns.
