Earth Day PC Drop at Dell, Dude

Have an old laptop -- or two -- laying around the home collecting dust? Maybe a roll-ball mouse sans ball? Well, don't dump them in the garbage. Drop them off at Dell.

In celebration of Earth Day, this Thursday, April 22, Dell and Goodwill are teaming up to facilitate the responsible disposal and recycling of unwanted PCs and accessories (Note: This DOES NOT include televisions, cell phones or appliances.)

If you can't make it up to Round Rock that day -- no worries. The program is run year-round through a partnership between Dell and Goodwill called Reconnect, a national effort started in Austin in 2004.

According to their media release, Reconnect has diverted more than 96 million pounds of e-waste since its inception.

For those who can make it over to Dell, volunteers will be collecting your unwanted PCs and accessories from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 pm at 1 Dell Way, Building 3 in the West parking lot.
