Austinist Presents Local Music Is Sexy Tonight @ PureVolume House [RSVP Required]

With a multitude of bands descending upon our fair city this week, we all could be forgiven for being enamored with that next big thing from the U.K. or the hidden secret from Chile. But it's vital we don't neglect or forget about the hordes of acts that entertain us all year long here in the "Live Music Capital of the World". Tonight, we present Local Music Is Sexy, our bi-annual salute to Austin's homegrown talent, in the cozy confines of the PureVolume House.

Now situated at the spot that used to call itself Copper Tank (504 Trinity St.), the PV House has always been one of THE choice spots during the week to tag up with friends for a quick beverage or to satisfy your craving for a late night dance party. The new location is slightly larger than previous years' sites, and the stage and lighting looked quite stellar when we attended the soft opening last Friday. One major change though -- the PV House is enforcing a new policy this year -- you need to have a SXSW badge, along with the PV card, to guarantee admission into the venue.
