LimeWire Store Presents Austinist's Ear to the Ground Sampler for SXSW


In anticipation of SXSW, The LimeWire Store has released Ear to the Ground: Austin -- curated by Austinist -- featuring tunes by some of our favorite up and coming artists in town. The free download, available online here, includes tracks by Bear Claw, Yellow Fever, Beautiful Supermachines, TV Torso, My Milky Way Arms, Sunset, Burywood and more.


The bands were hand-picked by Austinist music writers and editor Paige Maguire.

At SX, The Limewire Store will make a splash at a couple of events. ODA/LimeWire Opening Day Bash will be March 17th at Emo's Annex, 600 Red River St. [noon-6pm]. There will be performances by Les Shelleys (Tom Brosseau and Angela Correa), A Sunny Day in Glasgow, Zeus, Summer Cats, Tobacco, The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt!, Carsick Cars, Bear in Heaven, and Sleepy Sun. Plus, giveaways including free subscriptions to The LimeWire Store, T-shirts, and thumb drives loaded with Ear to the Ground: Austin.
