SXSW Party Update: BrooklynVegan, IFC, & Paste

Roky Erickson and Okkervil River headline BrooklynVegan and M for Montreal’s (free) official SXSW day party at Galaxy Room (508 E. 6th St.) on the 20th. BV is throwing a whole lotta shindigs at SX this year -- check out the list here.
IFC and The Bowery Presents have put together a mouthwatering line-up for the IFC Crossroads House @ SXSW (612 Brazos St.), open daily from 11am to 7pm to one and all. The Black Angels, Phosphoresecent, The Walkmen, The Drive-By Truckers, Neon Indian, She & Him, and The Delta Spirit (complete schedule) will all perform a short set after being interviewed by Craig Finn (The Hold Steady). IFC plans to stream each performance and chat live on its site, and air a nightly news recap from Austin at 10pm. IFC’s annual Tuesday night bash features Shadow Shadow Shade this year.
Paste Magazine has teamed up with the folks at PureVolume for a kick-off party on the 16th. The beloved PVHouse (504 Trinity St.) will host Eisley, Jakob Dylan & Three Legs, Johnny Flynn, Joshua James, and Harper Blynn this evening -- RSVP here.
