SXSW Update: Bands, Panels, etc.

SXSW has released the names of quite a few additional bands set to perform in town at the fest next month. Austin American-Statesman has compiled the list which contains a wide array of talent from all across the globe including !!! (USA), Amaral (Spain), Antia Tijoux (Chile), Balkan Beat Box (Israel), Band Of Skulls (England), Broken Social Scene (Canada), Frightened Rabbit (Scotland), Hauschka (Germany), Miike Snow (Sweden), Natalie Lafourcade (Mexico), Systema Solar (Colombia), and The Middle East (Australia), and Texan artists such as Chalie Boy, Chamillionaire & Paul Wall, Midlake, Spoon, Texas Tornadoes, Trae, and Wolfgang Gartner.

As for panels and the like, Judy Collins, John Doe and Ian Rogers, DJ Spooky, Melissa Auf Der Mar, Suzanne Vega, Andrew WK, and Chris Walla, among others, are all scheduled for day time engagements at the Austin Convention Center. The SXSW Day Stage at the same location (in Ballroom D) will keep busy all week as well -- the KCRW roster for Saturday the 20th features Rogue Wave, The Middle East, and Lissie.
