She Sir Prep Release of Yens, Play Free Week
She Sir are preparing the release of their 7" EP, Yens, due digitally on Jan. 15 and on vinyl February 15. The four song EP finds the group experimenting with layers of texture and sound to great effect. "Lemongrass" is the lead single (check it out at Austin Sound), and it's full of hazy male/female vocals, organ and tambourine. This EP is definitely one to look forward to if you're at all drawn to shoe-gazing bliss rock.
The band will be playing out twice during Free Week - first on Jan. 6 at Beauty Bar with Stereo Is a Lie and New Roman Times, and again on Jan. 8 at Club Deville with Candi and the Strangers and Corto Maltese.
