Autobus Records to Release Mark David Ashworth's Bright is the Ring of Words

Austin's artist-owned record label, Autobus (also home to Brazos and Sunset), is preparing the February 23, 2010 release of former Austinite and current San Fransisco resident Mark David Ashworth's second album, Bright Is the Ring of Words.

The album was recorded in Ashworth's Mission District home as well as in a middle school's orchestra room managed by Tristan Arnold, teacher and the album's multi-instrumentalist collaborator. Piano and string arrangements unite Ashworth's dark sentimentality together with a more timeless sentiment underpinned by brass, organ, and sparse percussion.

We look forward to hearing the entire album, as Ashworth's catalog continues to grow: his consistency indicates that we're in for something very special with Bright Is the Ring of Words.
