What does "PS no mention of condos" mean?
He was talking about making downtown nicer to a group of business owners and downtown neighborhood associations. Those neighborhood associations would probably include a lot of condo owners since there aren't a lot of single family dwellings downtown. My guess is these people have no interest in a more condos/less condos debate. If they're living downtown they're probably interested in condos and the voice for change that having more people downtown provides.
I know that since the rape occurred at a Homecoming dance, it increases the sensationalism, but I do wonder why there hasn't been much attention or controversy surrounding the gang rape of a 16 year old at a party in Austin a couple of months ago. It hasn't even received a front-page mention in the Statesman. The story was bundled up in the news digest, which means you can't even find it with the Statesman's joke of a search mechanism.
I know first-hand that Cornelio Anthony Lugo has posted bail and is out of jail, but I never heard if the police had made any other arrests. The story basically disappeared.
