The Pablove Foundation is a California-based organization whose aim is to "improve the lives of children with cancer, at both a national level as well as a local level here in Los Angeles."
Tonight they'll be having a benefit at Emo's featuring four bands, with the proceeds going directly to their organization. Performing first is Sara Lov. Also a member of the band Devics, Lov has more recently gone out on her own with a release of two EPs and a full-length entitled Seasoned Eyes Were Beaming. Her buddies in Sea Wolf will also be performing. The band is led by one Alex Brown Church, and they recently contributed to that indie-riffic Twilight II soundtrack and put out a new LP entitled White Water, White Bloom.
Also performing are the promising Port O'Brien - an exciting live act who just released their sophomore LP Threadbare this month - and Ben Kweller, a man who needs little introduction (but we'll give him one anyway). Kweller began as a member of the very young, fleeting alt-rock group Radish before embarking on a solo career that has paid off both artistically and commercially. His latest album is a more country-flavored effort entitled Changing Horses.
