Marques Harper reports that a sign was posted on the door yesterday that read, “Tenant’s lease has been terminated due to tenant’s failure to pay rent. As a result, tenant’s possession of the premises is terminated.” The lights remain shut off and the doors locked.
As of Tuesday afternoon, neither shop proprietor Barbara Ann Kelso nor the property owners listed on the notice were returning phone calls to the Statesman. The salon's most recent tweet, an unrelated remark about the Bang & Olufsen opening party in the Second Street District, was last Thursday.

For those who have lost their hairstylist due to this unfortunate event and still need their hair cut I suggest going down to Waterloo records and hanging out by the register. Any woman whom you see checking out with a Murder City Devils CD is, without doubt, a hairstylist. Next step, negotiate cheaper rate due to lack of overhead(rent).
If you happen to see a man buying a Murder City Devils CD, do not approach him and ask him if he is a hairstylist. Although he may be a hairstylist it is much more important that you question him as to why he is purchasing a PG-13 rated version of punk rock. He'll probably just say that Waterloo was out of stock on Blink-182 CD's and that No Doubt lost their edge years ago.
These are dark times friends. Dark times indeed.

Amanda and Sarah have moved to Path Salon and are very happy there!
Hipsters generalizing about hipsters. Is this what we've become now?
"Is that what we've become now?" Nope. Well, maybe you but certainly not me. Just one non-hipster hip here generalizing about hipsters. But honestly, the people I'm generalizing about I don't consider to be hipsters. Do I have my stereotypes mixed up?? Help!!
