Sunset are one of the busiest bands in Austin, so it's no surprise that they're continuing to host shows at their east side studio Baby Blue and have a new release planned for the near future - an album entitled Gold Dissolves to Gray out on Autobus records. According to the band's blog, a vinyl form of the album (with a cd version included) will see release on November 24th.

Between now and then, the band will be touring a bit across the States, and the unofficial kickoff is a performance at Baby Blue alongside Silent Land Time Machine and City Center.

We've mentioned Silent Land Time Machine previously, and his album &hope still. One label with which he is associated, Indian Queen, describes him thusly: "a rather mysterious one man band solo outing from texas, who builds up layer upon layer of violin, viola, acoustic guitar, slippery electric slide, percussion, electronics, accordion, buried vocals, and found sounds into haunted, rollicking, thick sonic blankets of sound."

And visiting from Brooklyn are City Center, a band composed of Ryan Howard and Fred Thomas. These two are also key players in the Michigan-bred Saturday Looks Good to Me, but here the two musicians seem to be taking an even stronger detour into the world of experimental music.
