Never mind raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens: beautiful boobies and adorable puppies are a few of our favorite things. And happily, the two come together (sort of) for a few brief but glorious hours on Friday night.

That’s right—just when you thought the ongoing awesome opportunities to enjoy burlesque in this town couldn’t get any better or more creative, Animalesque comes along. The show, one night only, offers animal-themed strippin’ by the Jigglewatts, Big Star Burlesque, Black Widow Burlesque and a multitude of other babes that are going to lovingly take (almost) all of it off to raise funds for Austin Pets Alive!

APA, a local, not-for-profit operation that is striving to make Austin a no-kill city for all the kitties and puppies that get dumped at the pound. APA already operates on a shoestring and recently, in a bid to earn some truly bad karma, some fucker stole a couple of their donation jars. So now, more than ever, APA needs your help.

So all you Furries and fans o’ fannies and boob-a-holics and lovers of kitty cats, get your strip on and your rocks off and know that you’re helping out an excellent cause as you do.
