As one of the last kids who had to register for the draft during the Vietnam Era (and that because my mom made me get in the car and drove me over), I hate saying this, but I'm wondering if we should reinstitute the draft if we are going to increase troop levels in Afghanistan. If the nation won't accept a draft, then we should get out of there. We can't keep putting the burden on the small, honorable percentage willing to volunteer.
