Senior Creative Staff Let Go at Enfatico

In yet another move to dismantle Enfatico, the $4.5 billion powerhouse agency created to handle all of Dell's marketing needs worldwide, several of the top executives on the creative side have been laid off.

The Austin Business Journal reports that Enfatico has laid off Ken Segall, NY-chief creative officer; John Steinert, NY-chief CRM lead; David Meer, chief analytics officer; Alex Eisenberg, Austin-small/medium business lead account director; and Josh Sklar, Austin - digital creative director.

The agency was announced in December 2007 with lofty goals in mind: to consolidate some 850 accounts across the globe and provide Dell with a consolidated marketing and advertising firm. But Enfatico has been plagued with troubles all along the way, cutting 8 percent of its workforce in February and then merging into Young & Rubicam Brands in April, operating as a division of Y&R.

Technically, Enfatico is still alive, but the dismissing of key executives indicates that Y&R will likely be handling Dell's creative duties for advertising going forward.

This could be good news for GSD&M. They handled most of the Dell accounts back in the good ole (profitable) days.

Just wait, some secretary will run over one of the new exec's foot with a lawnmower.
