I heard that Chicago didn't get the Olympic bid because the Cubs are going to win the World Series in 2016.

It was the summer of 1981. I was walking down a street in downtown El Paso when I spotted a headline on an El Paso Times from a vending machine: Israel bombs Iraqi nuclear reactor.

Should they/we try for an ACT II with Iran playing the heavy?

Listening to the talk shows yesterday I picked up a consensus that a repeat that kind of preventive action will just unite the Muslim world against us. Some pundits said allowing Iran to develop as a nuclear power could be a safer alternative.

Still it's easy to second-guess Israel now and know that they made the right decision, even if Reagan did protest it.

Who cares about the Olympics??? Another boring, pointless distraction.

Heterosexual marriage--and marriage in general--as well as childbearing, should neither be financially rewarded nor encouraged by the State. Period.
