Live Stream: ACL Studios' Behind the Scenes Panels with Patty Griffin, Terry Lickona, Dixie Chicks and More

The other ACL—the longstanding television program from which this weekend's music festival was spawned—was officially awarded its "historic rock and roll site" status by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame yesterday, and today they're hosting an open house to give the public a glimpse behind the scenes. For those who can't make it down there, check out the live stream from the panel above.

We neglected to let you know about the first panel, which started at 11 a.m., but there's still time to head down to UT campus to make the second one, which starts at 1 p.m., in person. The latter panel features a bevy of fantastic musicians, as well as key individuals from both KLRU and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame:

  • Alejandro Escovedo
  • Patty Griffin
  • Emily Robison and Martie Maguire of The Dixie Chicks
  • Jim Henke, Vice President of Exhibitions & Curatorial Affairs at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum
  • Dr. Lauren Onkey, Vice President of Education and public programs at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum
  • Terry Lickona, Executive Producer of Austin City Limits

In the 75-minute panel, the invited speakers will discuss the history and evolution of the show and its impact on music. For directions to the studio, check KLRU's page.
