Prescott Curlywolf released four records from 1994 to 2001, each on a different label. Jeff Cole from Austin based Doolittle Records (a part of New West Records since 2000) signed the band after watching just one gig, resulting in the 1994 debut Dang. The band then signed with Mercury Records and released our personal favorite Six Ways To Sunday in 1996; 1998’s Funanimalworld (Freedom Records) and 2001’s Arkadelphia (Summer Break Records) further showcased the band’s irresistible guitar riffs and penchant for pop melodies. Although Prescott Curlywolf has only performed sporadically over the last few years, the band members have stayed busy with various projects. Rob Bernard has been a part of The Damnations and One Mississipi, which includes his PC bandmate Ron Byrd and Alex Livingston (from Grand Champeen). Bernard also works with PC bassist Tim Kinard in Mandible. Chris Deaner, who joined PC from The Adults in the 90’s, is now with +/- and has had a stint as drummer for Kelly Clarkson. But this week, let the crew take you back to the days of Electric Lounge and Liberty Lunch. Catch ‘em at Stubb’s tonight and then again at ACL Fest on Friday.
