By now you know the lineup for this year's Fun Fest, and you're already planning your schedule. Once again, the festivities kick off on Friday night at the Mohawk and Club Deville, where Austinist hosts our annual Local Music Is Sexy party and the After the Jump Blogger's Panel along with the Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau. This event is 21+.

This year's Local Music Is Sexy is our biggest and best yet. We'll be hosting TV Torso, The Low Lows, International Waters, Watch Out for Rockets, Beautiful Supermachines, Air Traffic Controllers, Distant Seconds, Silent Land Time Machine, Black Before Red, Manikin, The Authors, My Milky Way Arms, and the Minor Mishap Marching Band will be performing between the Mohawk's indoor and outdoor stage and Club Deville following the After the Jump Blogger Panel. The show starts at 8 pm and will go until midnight. After midnight, stay with us for many inside surprises happening inside Mohawk.

Attendees from the press and media crowd will be able to pick up their Fun Fest credentials that night as well. Starting at 6:30 p.m., Maura Johnston (Idolator), Justin Gage (Aquarium Drunkard), Peter Gaston (SPIN), David Prince (Billboard, Daily Swarm), Joe Gross (Austin American-Statesman) and Paige Maguire (Austinist, WOXY) will be discussing the ever-thinning line between new media and the mainstream. There will be a question period and cocktails after the panel.
