Fiery Midway Games and Much More: Performance Acts at Art Outside

As we've mentioned, this year's Art Outside is going to be bigger and better than ever before. One of the areas where this is most evident is in the ambitious line-up of performance artists that have signed on to participate in the event. In addition to a full scheduled of bands and DJ as well as dozens of visual artists, Art Outside will feature dance, circus acts, puppetry, clowns, and lots of amazing fire art. Performance collective the Art of Such N Such will steal the show with their interactive firey midway show. Among other fabulous contraptions, they've created a Test-Your-Strength Hammer that rewards the mighty with a fiery ball that shoots up into the air. Nothing goes together better than carnies and fire. Austin's own Sangre del Sol is also assembling a cast of their favorite Texas fire dancers to perform on the Art Outside Variety Stage.

In addition to pyrotechnics, there will be plenty of offerings for those Art Outside attendees that are a little more safety-first minded. ArcAttack's signing Tesla Coils will again preform in Central Texas after a a whirlwind summer tour that took them to Abu Dahbi and the Netherlands (and has no doubt left them with new insight on how to explain a suitcase full of Tesla Coil parts to security agents in the United Arab Emirates). Dancer and aerial performer Agent Red will dazzle crowds with a partner balancing aerial act. Italian street performer Hey Beep Beep will ride a unicycle, juggle fire, and play a ukulele (although maybe not all at once). The Art Outside performance schedule features many more must see acts.

Art Outside will take place on October 9th, 10th, and 11th at Apache Pass in Rockdale, Texas. Tickets are on sale now: Three Day Event and Camping Passes are available for $50, Day Passes are available for $29, and children 12 and under are free.
