Prefuse 73 Goes Ampexian at Aces Lounge Tonight

Guillermo Scott Herren aka Prefuse 73 takes the stage tonight at Ace's Lounge to showcase his eclectic blend of hip-hop, glitchy electronica and dance music. His most recent release, Everything She Touched Turned Ampexian is a somewhat odd collection of brief blasts and thuddy swats of Herren's influences, but should play well against the rest of his catalog. Herren's prolific career has included work under many different monikers (Piano Overlord, Savath y Savalas, Diamond Watch Wrists, Delarosa and Asora) but the Prefuse label has been the most consistent.

Expect Herren to mix the elements from Ampexian against older material, shifting from bizarre dance to post-techno fuzz. Supporting acts Digg & Nick-Nack, Andrew Parsons & Simon Sax and G. King & Pharo round out the bill.
