They came out of the same electronica renaissance in the early 2000s that also spawned the mopier Her Space Holiday and The Faint, and like their peers, the intervening years have changed the thrust and direction of the Chicago-based Telefon Tel Aviv.
Formed by Charles Cooper and Joshua Eustis, the group climbed to notoriety with the release of their debut record Fahrenheit Fair Enough and a remix of the Nine Inch Nails track "Where is Everybody" in 2000.
Three more full-lengths followed, including this year's Immolate Yourself. A week after the album's release, Cooper was found dead from an accidental overdose. Eustis is on tour with friend Alfredo Nogueira, who will join him for this performance.
Nogueira also performs in the group The Race with Craig Klein, who will open the show. The Race just released their latest record, Exiles, this month.
