The Raveonettes’ latest full-length In And Out Of Control drops next month on Vice Records. True to Raveonettes form, the album is chock-full of sugary pop melodies and Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo’s trademark vocal interplay and harmonies, along with crisp guitar hooks, melancholy lyrics, and moments of numbing fuzz. Somehow, The Raveonettes wrap the subject matter contained in “Boys Who Rape (Should All Be Destroyed)” and “Suicide” in sing-along pop songs while “Bang!,” “Last Dance,” and “Breaking Into Cars” are truly memorable ditties, the kind that get stuck in your head for the rest of the day, but not in an annoying way. You should hear ‘em -- enter your information in the form below for chance to win two tickets to The Raveonettes’ performance at The Parish Room on October 2nd. Spearheaded by Luke Temple, Here We Go Magic mesmerized us with their nifty concoctions at our SXSW day show this year and we definitely recommend getting there early to catch the Brooklyn outfit’s experiments in sound.
