What d'ya think?
Great. Thought so. Keep reading.
You may recall the post about the importance of having a name for Austin's Comprehensive Plan that inspires imagination and engagement rather than bewilderment, and head scratching.
Well your big chance to make a significant contribution to Austin's future has arrived. Last week the City of Austin began soliciting names and logos for the new Comprehensive Plan.

Please do one of the following by September 21st. Better yet, choose one and do it right now so you don't forget:
1. Send the City a suggestion or three for a new name for the Comprehensive Plan.
2. Send the City a design for a new logo for the Comprehensive Plan.
3. Send the City your comments/ feedback on the existing logos or post them on their Flickr page.
Don't feel like you have the perfect suggestion or idea? That's okay, submit a couple or as many as you can muster; it will get easier after you do a few and the proverbial juices start flowing. Or spend five minutes brainstorming with your cubicle mate, your daughter, your class or your favorite cashier at the grocery store.
Send your entries, comments or suggestions to Surbhi Bakshi in the Planning Department:
or
Post your comments on their Flickr account:

Now is not the time for hesitation, flood the Planning Office with feedback, ideas and entries.
Bravo in advance for your good deeds and great ideas.
