Heart Beats Benefit this Sunday
Amidst the sticky rhetoric and hysterical screaming that surrounds the current debate over health care, it's refreshingly difficult to argue with the good intentions and good times planned for the Heart Beats fundraiser this Sunday.
The stated goal for this event is "to raise money and awareness for Austin Musicians who need health assistance." To that end, they're offering admission for $7 dollars, and will have entertainment in the form of DJs, bands, free food, a raffle, and more.
Bands performing include FM Campers, Over the Hill, and Follow That Bird!, and the healthy list of sponsors includes Frank, Hoboken Pies, the Church of the Friendly Ghost, The Parlor, and many other beloved Austin institutions. It's an all-ages party that rages until 2 in the morning, so come and help out.
