Animal lovers, general do-gooders and anyone who likes to party for a worthy cause should plan to attend Thursday night’s Fur & Film Fete, a yearly event that raises funds for Emancipet, a local organization that provides services and advocacy that effectively and humanely reduce the homeless pet population in our community.

Austin Film Festival will present a selection of “vintage pet cartoons” and Whole Foods, Tito’s Vodka and several other local businesses will provide the snacks and libations. There’s live music too, of course—Dub Miller and Matt Skinner will perform—and if that’s not enough, we read on Facebook that a caricaturist will be in attendance as well.

Individual tickets are $50, but if you buy two or more the price drops 25%, so bringing along a few human friends will pay off in more ways than one. All proceeds go to Emancipet—specifically to support low cost and free spay/neuter programs.

Don't miss out on this fortuitous evening... accomplishing a good deed can't get any easier than this, and you may never find a better place to show off your lolcat humor. Kthanksbai.
