On Saturday, enjoy another fast and furious sketch session at Naked Lunch presented by Art Seen Alliance and held at the United States Art Authority from 1-4pm. Designed for animators, this week's model, Andrea Mastromatteo, will act out over 40 quick poses to facilitate the flip-book style accuracy required to successfully illustrate moving pictures. The class costs $10 a seat and tables are first come first serve.
Art Alliance Austin is putting together a fashion forward fundraiser, Art + Style, taking place Saturday night from 6-9pm at the AMLI on 2nd Street. The bash will include a pool side fashion show and after party at Malverde. Proceeds from the $25 ticket go to support Art Alliance Austin and include food and drinks from La Condesa and Delish.
Cantanker Magazine is celebrating the release of their latest issue on Saturday at Pump Project from 7-10pm. Show up and relax, despite the fact that the theme for the issue and exhibit is Anxiety. Don't forget to try on the first Cantanker Artist Series t-shirt designed by Eric Power.
On Sunday, the ever stylish East Side Show Room is celebrating the closing of their inaugural art show featuring work by Jennifer Chenoweth. An East Side artists, Chenoweth mixes paints and glazes to create colorful canvases that include both geometric and natural shapes. The show's closing reception will take place from 6-9pm.
