Happy birthday, Austinist photographer and notable Austinite Aasim Syed! No longer content with a round of birthday drinks or a nice dinner at Bagpipes, Mr. Syed is instead having his own mini-festival at the Mohawk this Saturday.

The festivities will take place on both the inside and outside stages, and feature notable local groups of disparate rocking-ness, from all out shoegaze shredding to more subtle pleasures.

Inside, we have the mostly-instrumental, improvisational two-piece Air Traffic Controllers, alongside the hard rockin' of Vitamins. Ringo Deathstarr will bring their patented psych-isms, and the garage Wine and Revolution also perform.

Speaking of which, the outside stage also has its share of stripped-back rock in roll in Harlem, as well as the country twang of Brothers and Sisters and the wild, effusive noise of Ume. As if that weren't enough, there's also the added X-y fun of Kingdom of Suicide Lovers. Thanks for sharing your party, Aasim!
