Senators Hutchison, Cornyn to Weigh In on Health Care Reform at Town Hall Tomorrow
Update 2:30 p.m.: MoveOn just sent an apology email clarifying that "Senators Cornyn and Hutchison are not expected to attend, as we said in the email—nor are any other members of Congress." Regardless, it's a chance for you to weigh in on the matter.
As the storm of controversy surrounding the health care reform bills rages on, Texas Senators Kay Bailey Hutchinson and John Cornyn are throwing themselves into the thick of things, teaming up with the Texas Medical Association for a series of town hall meetings across the state.
Tomorrow's stop is in Austin at the Thompson Auditorium in the TMA building. The public is invited to attend and share their questions and comments with our elected representatives, plus a bunch of doctors and TMA folks. The flyer says that an RSVP via phone (800-880-1300) is requested; there's also an RSVP form on MoveOn.org.
The Texas Medical Association Town Hall is at 401 W. 15th Street on Thursday, August 13th at 6 p.m.
