Austin is 6th Most Pet-Friendly City, Says Rent.com

A recent ranking of pet-friendly cities by Rent.com puts Austin in sixth place, for such amenities as Zilker Botanical Gardens and off-leash parks.

The recognition isn't a huge surprise, considering we have one of the nation's most pet-friendly hotels, entire weekends devoted to dressing up our pooches and parading them around town, and are happy to let our pets roam freely—to the point where they clog up creeks with poo. Houston came in slightly higher at fourth place for its pet-friendly hotels and restaurants, while New York nabbed the top spot.

I'm surprised we're not ranked higher, honestly. It's been interesting over the years watching Austin become MORE dog friendly, don't y'all think?

We don't have many off-leash parks.

Actually, it is very likely that the *RAW SEWAGE LEAK* upstream is the primary contributor to the E coli levels at Bull Creek, but for some reason everyone points their fingers at the dogs first.
