Music News & Notes: SXSW, EDA & Batfest
- SXSW's new site is live, and registration is the cheapest it will ever be (through September 25).
- NYC show promoter Todd P presented a lot of bands when he was in Austin at SXSW this year, and you can see a trailer for the Jay Buim directed documentary Todd P Goes to Austin here.
- Batfest is coming! Austin 360 breaks the first of the lineup including Bob Schneider, the Gourds and Girl In a Coma.
- Also at 360, the claim that a U.T. student coined the phrase "heavy metal".
- Earth Dance Austin, scheduled for September, has been postponed until Spring 2010 due to budgetary restrictions.
- The Mountain Goats return to Austin in November for a show at Antone's.
