UT Swimmer Splits Swimsuit, Bares Butt at World Championships

The crowd at the World Swimming Championships in Rome saw more of University of Texas swimmer Ricky Berens than they bargained for Sunday. Berens' high-tech swimsuit tore down the back as he leaned down to stretch before the 4x100m freestyle relay. The Huffington Post has a gallery of the probably-NSFW photos.

Berens, a UT junior who is swimming for the US team at the world championships, took the wardrobe malfunction in stride. "I kind of freaked out for just a second," Berens said. "I felt like [the hole] was almost down to my knees. I felt like I was putting on a pretty good show."

The US won the heat and qualified for the finals, where the team of Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, Matt Grevers, and Nathan Adrian won with a meet-record time.
