Friday's Events:
Offering a little home fashion, Aviary (2110 S. Lamar) is celebrating Fashion Week with a store-wide sale. The retro-ornate pillows of Deborah Main Designs will be featured. Stop by any time between 11am and 9pm for discounts from 10% to 75% off everything in the store.
From 2pm to 4pm, Maximum FX Salon (1007 S. Congress) is hosting a millinery demonstration. The hat making class will be led by Laura Del Villaggio who carefully crafts beautiful hats and facinators for Milli Starr. Del Villaggio will demonstrate straw and felt blocking and discuss finishing techniques. The salon will be staging an iced tea party with treats from Sugar Tooth Bakery.
LA designer Corey Lynn Calter will be making an in-store appearance at the former Moxie Boutique space (2110 S. Lamar #F) from 4pm until 8pm. Calter will be showing her line of contemporary women's dresses, separates, and accessories. This in-store event will be a preview of Sunday's Fashion Awards where Calter will be one of the featured designers in the runway show.
From 5pm to 8pm, models dressed in bathing suits designed by Sarah Scott will be appearing at Beyond Tradition (221 W. 2nd Street). Various jewelry and accessory designs will also be highlighted throughout the day. Wine and cheese will be served.
Avenue Five Institute (8620 Burnet) will host a Vaudevillian's Fashion Show at 7pm tonight. Old Hollywood glamor will be on display with hair and makeup done by Avenue Five students. The show will be emceed by Felony Convictions and Ruby Collins from Cap City Comedy Club will make an appearance. Complimentary drinks and hors doeuvres will be be served.

Saturday's Events:
Etsy Austin's Party Hop continues at various venues around town. For a details, check out their calendar.
Starting at 3pm, Complete Clothing (8th and Brazos) will be hosting the modern pin-up stylings of Devushka Clothing and the urban men's line from 3rd I.D. The Table Manners Crew who will be preforming hip hop and breaks. Models will be showing off the latest styles and a photo booth will be available. At 9pm, both style lines will participate in a fashion show with live jazz and sushi accompaniments. Come for the keg of Live Oak, stay for the pin-up girls.
From 6pm to 9pm, TRIPP Custom T-Shirts (2405 Nueces) will host Austin Fashion Week's Prints 4 Non-Profits event. Each month, two or three local musicians and bands have created a design that will be printed on a shirt; five dollars from each shirt purchase is donated to the SIMS Foundation who provide mental health and addiction recovery services to Austin musicians. This month's participating designers are UME, The White White Lights, and Team Fabrication.
Sunday's Events:
The Austin Fashion Awards, hosted by Jenny Hart, will be held at the Long Center starting at 5:30pm. Octopus Project, Alpha Rev, The Soldier Thread, and other will provide musical entertainment. Six top UT designers will join Project Runway alum Jonathan Kayne and LA designer Corey Lynn Calter with shows on the runway. Tickets to the Awards Show may be purchased online.
The AMLI (415 W. 2nd Street) is hosting the exclusive Fashion Awards After Party starting at 9pm. DJ Mel and Mike Relm will play tunes. Various 2nd Street District restaurants will provide appetizers to accompany drinks by Tito's, Bombay Sapphire, Trinity Oaks, and others. Tickets to the after party are also available online.
