Hearty and full of camp fire-y goodness, {{{Sunset}}} will take the inside stage at Emo's tonight. The band is the brain child of Bill Baird, who has been performing and recording under the name Sunset and other variations (adding and subtracting the {{{}}} thingies) since 2006.

Laced with wholesome tunes, their live performance brings folk undertones to the forefront of their music. With harmonizing ability approaching the ether of Fleet Foxes, their song craftsmanship is top notch and wholly unmatched. Woven with lush soundscapes, the sound consists of carefully layered piano, percussive and guitar elements. Sunset will have a record out soon, and they recently peddled a wild variety of songs dubbed onto clear pink cassettes called Pink Clouds. With handmade covers and limiting sales to 100 copies, record label Autobus harped big on the hip factor—apparently cassettes are vintage enough now. Well, pink ones definitely are, right? Anyhow, folks: Sunset is promising and the show is pretty cheap: $5 or $7 for minors. That's right—bring your brother Leonard along to this all ages accommodating act.

The Wild Moccasins open with an interesting blend of string work and pop-induced melodies. The vivacious quintet of 20-somethings from Houston may be youthful, but are musically mature and confident beyond their years. Sour Notes, a dreamy pop band from Austin, will also be there.
