Texas-Arizona State Rematch in College World Series Semis

Texas and Arizona State play again tonight to determine who will advance to the final round of the College World Series in Omaha.

Texas is undefeated in the double-elimination tournament, so the Sun Devils must defeat the Longhorns twice this weekend to move on. A win by Texas either tonight or Sunday puts the Longhorns in the final matchup against either Arkansas or LSU.

Tonight's game begins at 6 p.m. and will be shown on ESPN2. If Arizona State wins tonight, the two teams play again at 6 p.m. Saturday.

The Longhorns' pitching depth has served them well. Cole Green, who started the Longhorns' opening round game Sunday, is Texas' likely starter tonight, although Chance Ruffin, who gave up six runs in two innings Tuesday against Arizona State, could also start. Freshman Taylor Jungmann has been the linchpin of the staff in Omaha, picking up the win in both of Texas' games so far. Jungmann has pitched 6 1/3 innings of shutout relief, giving up only three hits and striking out six.
